St. Philomena, also known as the "Wonder Worker," is a much beloved saint in the Catholic Church. Though little is known about her life, her powerful intercession and miracles have made her a popular saint among the faithful. It is believed that she was a young girl martyred for her faith in the early days of Christianity. Despite her young age, St. Philomena's courage and unwavering devotion to Christ serves as an inspiration to all. Many miracles have been attributed to her intercession, especially in healing and protecting children. Sweetest Heart of Mary has as a part of it’s sacred relic collection, a first class relic of St. Philomena. Every last Sunday of the month following our Masses, we process through the church with her relic and venerate it at our beautiful statue of this wonderful Saint.
